Originally from Fancy Farm, Kentucky, Dr. Erika Marrs earned her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she graduated with honors and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Following optometry school, Dr. Marrs completed a residency at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Health Care System, with a focus on ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation.
