Dr. Robert Kinker, who has enjoyed practicing ophthalmology in Frankfort for almost 31 years, is planning on retiring the 15th of June, 2018. Dr. Kinker, who is well known and respected within the Frankfort Community, placed an emphasis on maintaining a friendly “small town” philosophy, with extra attention and effort made to treat his patients like a member of his family. With that philosophy in mind, Dr. Kinker carefully searched for a competent and caring group of doctors to ensure the continued care of his patients. He has chosen Dr. Black’s Eye Associates to continue serving his patients.
Dr. Black’s Eye Associates has been serving the Southern Indiana, Louisville and northwest Kentucky community for over 30 years. When Dr. Brad Black established the practice, he made a commitment to treat each patient as he would a family member, knowing that showing respect and compassion is as important as providing quality eye care. These values are what make Dr. Black’s Eye Associates a perfect match for Dr. Kinker’s patients.
Dr. Black’s Eye Associates will continue Dr. Kinker’s optometry services, in addition to adding outpatient cataract surgery at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Additionally, a full range of ophthalmology and optometric services ranging from retina and glaucoma treatment, diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, to annual vision exams so patients can purchase glasses or contact lenses will be available. Dr. Edwin Apenbrinck, Dr. Lori Williams and Dr. Rob Steller look forward to the opportunity to help you see life clearly at our Frankfort location.
